On the Table: June 20, 2026
We had a great first market day last week, selling out of almost everything we brought with us. Check out the color on those radishes!
We're looking forward to doing it all again this weekend on June 20. We'll have most of what we had last week and a few newcomers to the table -- including at least a few baskets of sugar snap peas.
New to the table this week
Sugar snap peas: we’re hoping this week’s cooler weather encourages a healthy harvest, but we should have at least a few baskets in any case. Pass the peas like they used to say.
Green cabbage heads: "Tiara" variety.
Golden helios radishes: bright yellow exterior/white flesh, sweet and mild.
Beets: we're hoping for chioggia, touchstone gold, and "babybeat" baby red beets.
Familiar Friends
These should be returning to the table this week:
Napa-style Chinese cabbage: "Minuet" variety.
Radishes: French Breakfast.
Hakurei Turnips: Excellent raw, in salads -- peppery like a radish, but a bit sweeter.
Greens: bunched collards, lacinato kale, rainbow chard, and possibly the last round of spinach for a while.
See you Saturday!
